I started up a small ad campaign with LinkedIn a few days ago. LinkedIn ads display an image, headline, and a 75 character description that leads to a link of your choosing. You can further limit the ads by geography, company, job title, group, gender and age.
The geography option allows you to direct traffic to specific states and even major cities. Sadly Wichita Falls didn't make the cut. The company option allows you to select specific companies or limit to industry or business size. Job title functions much the same way and allows you to choose between specific titles or categories.
Group allows you to target specific LinkedIn groups. While gender and age should be self-explanatory.
